BACKGROUND

Blifa was fully registered in 2008 as specified by the law of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as an NGO and launched its maiden program tagged ‘Year-End Party for the Aged ’26, December 2005, at Ukpom Anwana in Ikono Local Government, Akwa Ibom State Nigeria. Hundreds of poor aged people for the first time benefited in gift items, food, cash, footwear, clothing, etc.

Akwa Ibom State was our pilot state. To reach out to the beneficiaries in the localities, sub-offices were established in all the local Government council in the Offices of Women Development Officers (WDO). Since then functions and activities of BLIFA have spread across the pilot zone.

Over the years, some of the Domestics’ organizations that supported us are; Uyo Treasure  Base Lions clubs, Union Bank plc, Mother Cat Company Nigeria, Friesland food WAMCO Plc, makers of Peak Milk, Champion Brewery  Akwa Ibom State, UACN Plc, Federal Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development Nigeria. etc.

We depend on collective contributions for our programs, no amount is too small or too big with your donation today, be guaranteed that the lives of the aged in our society would be touched.

We run an open and transparent organization.
