SAM EKANDEM – COMMUNICATION DIRECTOR
Sam has operated as a communications consultant for more than thirty six years. His major clients include Promasidor Nigeria, makers of Cowbell milk, Loya and Onga seasoning. He also provides video production services for GlaxoSmithKline and AD agencies in Nigeria.
He was in Nigerian Television Authority NTA Benin as an editor for 9 years where he edited news reports, documentaries and programmes. He won a national award in 1988 as the best editor at Nigerian Festival of Television Programmes (NIFETEP) ’88. In the 90s, as a manager – post production in Swift Studios a leading TV Commercial production outfit. He contributed to some of the top creative television commercials that hit the Nigerian TV screens eg Mulivites, Glucose D Vicks Vaitolin cough syrup etc.. He edited “From prison to presidency documentary for Ex – President Olusegun Obasanjo” He has also been involved in communications certificate training programmes as participant and instructor including BBC World Service Journalism Training on News documentary packages and Conflict Reporting between 2000 and 2002; and Shoot Digital Motion Pictures Master Class in 2005.
Directed ‘Focus Africa food, dance, and art & craft documentaries’. Short Brett Antiseptic Mouthwash TVC last year. Holds a diploma in social work practice, University of Benin 1990.
